In October, 2020, I retired as a partner<\/strong> from the Washington, D.C. and New York offices of the international law firm Clifford Chance<\/strong>, after leading its international arbitration practice in Latin America for more than 8 years.<\/p>\n

  • Participation on behalf of private and state parties in over 100 international disputes<\/strong>, including more than 40 commercial arbitrations (ad hoc, ICC, ICDR, LCIA, UNCITRAL and CIAC) and over 30 arbitrations initiated under the protection of bilateral investment treaties<\/strong> (ICSID and UNCITRAL).<\/li>\n

I also have extensive experience in disputes under international treaties, including bilateral investment treaties.<\/p>\n

    I have been involved in disputes related to almost all Latin American countries as well as in multiple disputes related to jurisdictions in Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania.<\/p>\n

    I have been educated and have worked extensively in both the civil law and common law<\/strong> systems. I graduated as a lawyer with Honors from the University of Buenos Aires (1994)<\/strong> and I hold a Master of Laws (LL.M)<\/strong> from Harvard University (1998)<\/strong>. I am licensed to practice law in Argentina, the State of New York and in the District of Columbia.<\/p>\n

    I am a native Spanish<\/strong> speaker and fluent in English<\/strong>. I also read and understand French and Portuguese.<\/p>\n
